We’ve put together another list of money hacks to help you save and make the most out of your budget.

1) Avoid stress spending

Try finding different ways to deal with stress like exercising. Avoid going to the store while feeling down or stressed. Your budget will thank you.

2) Maintain a good credit score

There are so many benefits to having a good credit score! A strong credit score can help you save thousands and qualify for better rates.

3) Adjust the thermostat

Adjusting the thermostat a couple of degrees can add up. Not only does it save money but it’s good for the environment.

4) Start an emergency fund

In case of unexpected expenses, you won’t have to use a credit card. Even putting aside $25 or $50 a month will add up. Having an emergency fund makes tough times a little easier.

5) Review your statements

It’s not uncommon to find bogus charges. Whether it’s a debit account or credit card, checking your statements can often save you money. It’s also a great opportunity to reflect on if you needed to make those purchases.

6) Make a meal plan

Planning your meals helps eliminate buying random items at the grocery store. You can also plan meals around sales and coupons. It’s also easier to eat healthier when you have a plan.  As an added bonus, see if your grocery store has a pickup option. You will save even more if you aren’t going up and down every aisle.

7) Use autopay

Using autopay ensures your payments are paid on time and you won’t have to pay late fees. As a bonus, some providers offer a small discount if you enroll in autopay.

8) Maintain your car

Don’t wait until your car breaks down to deal with it. Take the time for regular maintenance and oil changes. That way you can avoid paying for big repairs and replacement parts.
