Stay Home, Stay Frugal

Stay Home, Stay Frugal

During this time of uncertainty, most of us are home. Staying home, in general, is a good way to save money, but here are some ideas to stay home and stay frugal.

Education

There are many learning resources offering free at-home learning for kids during Covid-19. Khan Academy, Brain Pop, and ABC Mouse are 3 resources that your kids may benefit from.

Fitness

The gyms may be closed, but there are still ways to stay fit. Many exercise apps and live streams are offering deals right now. Echelon, Peloton, and FitPass are 3 fitness programs offering a 90-day free trial. There are also many free work-outs and Yoga videos on YouTube.

Eating Out

Many restaurants are waiving delivery fees right now. This can make getting food delivered more affordable, but make sure to tip. There are also many restaurants offering curbside pick up deals right now. Olive Garden has a buy one get one meal for 12.99. Also, if you are a healthcare worker, there are several businesses offering “thank you” deals.

Audiobooks

Sign up for the Overdrive App and gain access to thousands of free books. All you need is a current library card. Also, Audible is offering a collection of kids stories for free right now.

Streaming Services

Services like Hulu, Netflix, and Amazon Prime are currently offering month-long free trials. Also, Amazon Prime is offering a selection of titles for free to all Amazon customers.

Thankfully, Covid-19 won’t last forever. Make the most of this historical time. Wishing you all the best. Stay healthy, happy, and hopeful.
